Swappers Get First Pick At The Frock Swap
Swappers will have the opportunity to earn credits to purchase clothes by donating some of their own unwanted clothing. Clothes can be brought to Elgin Academy's Sears Gallery to be dropped off at the following times:
Monday, August 3 - 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Tuesday, August 4 - 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Wednesday August 5 - 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Swappers should bring clothes in good condition that they believe would be desired by women ages 13 to 30. Clothes accepted for donation include: dresses, suits, skirts, pants, jeans, shorts, blouses, shirts, jackets, coats, handbags and gently worn shoes & boots. For every item donated, a certain amount of credits will be awarded. These credits can be used August 6th at the Frock Swap to purchase other clothes that have been donated.
Shoppers
This allows women who have used all of their credits, or just can't part with their current wardrobe, to still take part in a great event and shop for in-fashion clothes at greatly reduced prices. Shopping hours start at 8:00 pm and end at 9:30. However, shoppers are encouraged to arrive early, as there will be a café featuring food and refreshments, including foiled cupcakes for purchase. All proceeds from these sales will be donated to the Community Crisis Center.
